This is Brandon Lynch's Songwriter's Blog. Brandon Lynch is a songwriter with his focus on hard rock, punk, indie..whatever style you feel is best to call it. As Brandon writes news songs, he'll post rough drafts in acoustic form with lyrics, and stories/comments behind the song.

Brandon grew up in Dover, NH where he began playing the drums in bands at the age of 13. In his days at Dover High School he founded a band called "Risky Business", a ska band consisting of members of the school marching band. Before long, Brandon had found himself as the songwriter of the group eventually composing 7 original songs before the eventual breakup of the band on summer 2003. After composing and doing a one-man-band recording of his song "Cold Day", he was encouraged to continue his songwriting by long time friend Trevor Bresaw, and girlfriend Stephanie Turmelle. Trevor and Brandon would spend nights in the lounge of Trevor's dormatory at UNH practicing the original compositions until the day the two of them formed a band called "bruises from fighting". Bruises From Fighting is an ongoing project that has seen a bass player and a drummer come and go and maintains a small amount of success through online streaming audio websites such as myspace and purevolume. The band plans to begin gigging in the early spring of 2006.
